TÓRAÍOCHT revolves around Aoife, your classic 8-year-old, stubborn and enthusiastically imaginative. On a quest to rescue her mother, Aoife finds herself in the ancient parallel world of Tír nAill, but not everything is as it seems in this land of legend and myth. Dark creatures seek brave heroes with whom to battle, villages find their homes terrorised by monsters and sorrow, and all the while rumours of a fearsome beast taint the hope of the land.It is up to Aoife to find the cure, to save her mother, and to put everything right. But she’s just one girl, and she can’t do this alone.

Based on the mythology surrounding An Bradán Feasa, this short film script explores the limitless boundaries of Aoife’s somewhat peculiar imagination and the beautiful yet strange folktales that abound throughout Ireland.We are currently exploring the possibility of turning this short film script into a proof of concept for the overall TÓRAÍOCHT project.

Who Are We?
CREATOR / SHOWRUNNER
Wynn Kelly-Buttfield is an Australian screenwriter and producer. She graduated from RMIT in 2020 with an Advanced Diploma of Professional Screenwriting, and since then has worked in a variety of fields and with a variety of people from all over the world, including but not limited to: Pirate Size Productions, IAYA Productions and BOLDR Productions. She has also been a Production Coordinator for Lihtar Studio and is currently the Creator/Showrunner of an indie animation production called TÓRAÍOCHT.
ANIMATOR / PRODUCER
Angela is an award-winning animation director with a great passion for innovative solutions that bring upon immersive and unforgettable experiences. With years of experience in leading creatives of a diverse principle, largely through Studio Biped, she is fluent in both the languages of art and tech and is quick to switch between different approaches to creative reasoning. Her films have been officially selected by over thirty film festivals from around the globe, while she has hosted and presented several screenings herself. Aside from creative work, she enjoys maths, farming and teaching animation.

As a screenwriter, actor, director, and the visionary owner of IAYA Productions, Ella is on a mission to light up the big screens with meaningful stories that spark conversations and spread happiness worldwide.
